I was so excited when Cory reached out to me about shooting their engagement session at Island Beach State Park. The last time I was at Island Beach State Park was back in 2019 for an other engagement session, so I was thrilled to be able to go back to this beautiful spot. If you’ve never been to Island Beach State Park, it is a very long strip of beach near Toms River with large dunes and some of the softest sand you’ll ever have in between your toes.
Ryan was telling me that you were actually able to drive onto the beach if you’re able to get a buggy pass, but they limit the amount of passes that can be purchased in a year. If you’re able to get your hands on a buggy pass, you can even do overnight fishing which I thought was super cool! Nothing would seem better than tent camping on the beach and looking up at the stars late at night.
Corey and Ryan will be getting married in Mystic Island, New Jersey at Ryan’s parents beach house, which is local to me. This will be a first for me as I have never had a chance to photograph a wedding that’s only five minutes down the road from my house! I can’t wait to capture their wedding day in just two months!!
