Family Photographer in South Jersey at Barnegat Lighthouse

As a family photographer in South Jersey, I have always enjoyed capturing beautiful moments for families to cherish for a lifetime. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing my clients’ smiles as they look back on their photographs. To remember the special moments we captured together. However, as much as I love outdoor sessions, I have recently decided not to offer them regularly.

The decision to discontinue outdoor sessions was not easy for me, but it was necessary. My husband, Jason, recently had to change his work schedule. His schedule requires him to work evenings and weekends, 7 days a week. Right before sunset is the best time for outdoor photography sessions. With this new schedule, I faced a dilemma. How could I continue to offer outdoor sessions without the support system? I needed to watch our kids during those times!

Living in New Jersey without family nearby makes it challenging to find someone to help watch our children. Our family lives in Florida, so we did not have anyone we could rely on to help us when we needed it most. As much as I wanted to continue offering outdoor sessions, I knew that I needed to make a change. In order to ensure that I could still provide the best possible service to my clients without compromising on the quality of my work.

Family Photographer in South Jersey

In August of 2024, I decided to discontinue outdoor sessions as a regular offering. However, I still wanted to find a way to provide families with the opportunity to have outdoor sessions with a family photographer in South Jersey. That’s when I came up with the idea of offering multiple mini-sessions scattered throughout the year.

These mini-sessions allow families to enjoy the beauty of outdoor photography. While also accommodating my new schedule and family commitments. By offering mini sessions at various times throughout the year, I can allow families to capture those special moments in a beautiful outdoor setting. This also gives them the flexibility to choose a time that works best for them.

While I may no longer offer outdoor sessions as frequently as I once did, I am still as passionate as ever.
My work as a family photographer in South Jersey can be capture year round in my studio too. I am committed to providing my clients with the best possible experience and capturing those precious moments. Moments I know that families will cherish for years to come.

I am grateful for the understanding and support of my clients as I navigate this new chapter in my business. I hope that by offering multiple mini-sessions throughout the year, I can still provide families with the opportunity to have beautiful outdoor sessions with a family photographer in South Jersey! Luckily, summer of 2025 I will be at Barnegat Lighthouse. Check out some of the images below from Melody’s family session from earlier in the 2024 year!
