Emerald Wedding Color Scheme | Moody Wedding Color Inspiration | Ultimate Edge Photography

Whoever said that you can’t have dark wedding colors and still have light and airy images was a liar! You most definitely can have both dark, bold, statement-making colors and still have glorious light and airy images! The trick is adding the right amount of contrast.

If you desire a moody color scheme for your wedding but you also want bright and beautiful images, keep in mind a few important factors. A dark wedding color scheme could consist of black, emerald, navy, gray, burgundy, and orange just to name a few. If you choose a dark and moody wedding color palette be sure to add touches of lighter colors to brighten the esthetics and vibe! These colors could consist of white, blush, sage, peach, lavender, and light gray. Wedding details and decor that could brighten up the color scheme a bit could include name cards, lanterns, menu cards, chairs, dinnerware, centerpieces, and napkins.

Gold accents are a great way to add a pop of color as well so that white or ivory does not become an overwhelming factor. Gold is a great way to add a happy medium to bold dark colors and airy bright colors. Think of the color gold, including rose gold, as the glue that brings everything together!

Bridal bouquets can really shine with an emerald color palette by mainly consisting of a lot of greenery such as eucalyptus, ferns, succulents, moss, and so on. Add a few ivory or blush colored florals into the bouquet or floral displays can add a bit of pop as well. Greenery inspired bouquets and archway displays offer a rustic vibe with an elegant touch, which in my opinion is the perfect vibe for any wedding!

Take a look at an emerald inspired wedding color scheme for your wedding day inspiration below! This color palette was inspired for couples looking for moody color schemes.
