Historic Smithville Village Engagement Session | Alexis and Rob | Ultimate Edge Photography

Alexis entered into one of my engagement session give-a-way contest and was selected as a winner because I was naturally drawn to her bubbly personality! When I officially met Alexis and Rob for their session, I knew we were going to be a perfect match for each other!

When I run engagement session give-a-ways it so that I can test out new locations and techniques that I have wanting to try out but don’t want to stress over trying to capture the “normal” portraits. I love doing these sessions not only because I have the chance to meet an amazing new couple but I can let my creative brain run wild, and it definitely did for Alexis and Rob’s session at Historic Smithville Village!

During the whole session, both Alexis and Rob were so willing to test out anything I suggested! Alexis only had one request and that was to capture a few images in front of the Smithville Inn gate that featured an “S” on one of the gates. Seeing how Alexis’ future last name will start with an “S” it seemed only fitting! You can see some of those images below in the gallery!

I had an amazing time laughing together, learning new techniques, and getting to know these two more. It was probably one of my most fun sessions because of how laid back and easy going both Alexis and Rob were! It made my goal in this session super easy, which was so capture some stunning portraits with new poses – I think we nailed it!
