This session at Allaire Lavender Farm in Wall Township, New Jersey, was everything I love about family photography. Instead of focusing only on perfect poses, we captured genuine moments together.
First, we started with classic family portraits among the rows of lavender. Then, we let their little one explore and play. He tasted his blanket, inspected the flowers, and proudly practiced his standing skills. As a result, we captured plenty of personality along the way.
Meanwhile, mom and dad enjoyed quiet moments together between all the giggles. Those little interactions often become favorites because they feel so real. In addition, the golden evening light added a dreamy glow that made every image feel timeless.

These sessions are perfect for families, maternity portraits, milestone sessions, or simply updating your yearly photos. Plus, children absolutely love exploring the paths and smelling the lavender. As a result, smiles come naturally, and sessions feel relaxed.
Since the bloom season is short, these sessions only happen once each year. Therefore, spots tend to disappear quickly.
