There is something so special about capturing both maternity and newborn photos for growing families. Amy and her husband trusted me with both milestones, and I loved every second. Amy planned ahead and used many of these portraits for Christmas cards. Honestly, they turned out perfect for that purpose. The soft holiday colors paired beautifully with Rowan’s tiny features. Meanwhile, the cozy textures added warmth without distracting from the family connection.
For the newborn portion, we focused on neutral wraps, gentle posing, and natural family interactions. Additionally, we included a few festive setups that felt simple and elegant. I always encourage parents to keep holiday themes minimal for longer-lasting images.
