I recently had the absolute pleasure of capturing Henry’s Winnie the Pooh newborn session. Which was wonderfully themed around Winnie the Pooh. As a photographer who has been privileged to document Emily and Jonathan’s love story from their engagement to their beautiful wedding day. Being a part of this special moment in their lives felt like a heartfelt continuation of our journey together. Meeting their sweet baby boy, Henry, was genuinely a joy that filled the studio with warmth and happiness.
As the session was adorned with pops of soft blue and green, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented Henry’s nursery theme. Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore were not just characters for this session; they were playfully arranged around Henry as he blissfully snoozed in his cozy Winnie the Pooh newborn outfit. The images captured a nostalgic charm that will be cherished for years to come.
From the outset, Henry was an absolute dream to photograph. He was so content throughout the entire session. Lying peacefully in the adorable props and scenes we created. There was barely a hint of fuss, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I could see the joy radiating from Emily and Jonathan as they watched their little one. Their faces lighting up at every tiny expression and movement.
Winnie the Pooh Newborn Out to Hockey Themed
Given that Emily and Jonathan are huge hockey fans, it was certainly a delightful addition to incorporate a custom knitted hockey outfit into the session. The playful Winnie the Pooh newborn theme, combined with the sporty hockey elements, added a unique flair that truly stood out. Additionally, perfect props were used to effectively underscore their passion for the sport. Props such as a small hockey stick and a puck were used. Henry was showcased not only as their little Pooh Bear but also as their future little player on the ice.
Furthermore, the color palette of blues and greens blended harmoniously with the characters from the Hundred Acre Wood, resulting in vibrant yet soothing visuals. I loved how the colors accented Henry’s delicate features. As well as the adorable knitted outfits he wore during our time together. Every detail, from the swaddles to the tiny accessories, worked together perfectly. Creating a whimsical yet serene setting for Henry’s debut in front of the camera.
Throughout the session, it was heartwarming to see the deep bond Emily and Jonathan share with their new addition. The way they gently held him and showering him with love and affection. It was beautiful to witness.
As we wrapped up the session, I couldn’t help but feel grateful. This wasn’t just another shoot; it was a joyous celebration. We celebrated new life, love, and the beginning of a new chapter for Emily and Jonathan. I am eager to see them again, hopefully for Henry’s first birthday session, where I can capture the milestones as their sweet boy grows. The laughter, cuddles, and cherished moments shared during Henry’s Winnie the Pooh newborn session are memories that I will hold close, as I continue to document their beautiful journey as a family.
