Celebrating Fourth of July Photoshoot Mini Sessions

The Fourth of July Photoshoot minis were a festival of traditional American colors that the little ones loved. Using a lot of props I already had at home; the set-up included balloons, bunting, flags, and USA signs. Some iconic Coke decor and red and white draping completed the all-American setting.

The little ones arrived wearing perfect outfits. Kennedy rocked a blue romper suit with a matching headband and curiously looked at the Coke bottles like she knew they were not really for drinking. Then she sat happily on the Coke box, giving us huge smiles and cheeky expressions. Little Grayson was also in a celebratory mood and thought the whole photo shoot was so much fun. His mom had arranged two outfits for his mini session with a casual and formal look that were both cuteness overload. My son Maverick also wanted in on the Fourth of July Photoshoot, and I always love it when I can add to our own family album.

Fourth of July Photoshoot Minis

Mini shoots are great for holidays like the Fourth of July. You want some stunning photos but don’t need a huge collection. Just a bunch of frame-worthy images that you can look back on and remember the days when they were so tiny. It’s also a great way to introduce your little one to the experience of a professional photo shoot. Since it’s a short session of about 10-15 minutes, toddlers and kids are attentive and engaged easily for the whole time. Some even are reluctant to leave the photo shoot area because they are having so much fun.

I’m always open to ideas if you have an idea for mini-shoot sessions. Of course, the holidays uniquely lend themselves to eye-catching set-ups with bright props and dreamy decorations. And we all have our favorite holidays, so ask your friends what their favorites are! Perhaps we can plan a Halloween, Christmas, or Easter mini-shoot.
